Students from outside the EU may be subject to different tuition fees, depending on the university and programme. If you study at a university in Lithuania, you may be eligible for a state scholarship to cover the tuition fees. Tuition fees do not apply to students on exchange programmes.

Am I allowed to work as a student?
International students have the right to work while studying in Lithuania as long as they are enrolled in a Higher Education Institution. Students are allowed to work 20 hours per week in accordance with the legislation of Lithuania.

Students are granted individual visas ONLY. Your spouse and other family members may always apply for a tourist visa and visit you during your studies.
